Trust God’s tests

My name is Jiyeon. I am always happy. The reason for this is my family. I wake up every morning to my grandmother greeting me ‘Good morning’.

I get fresh. My mother gives me milk to drink. My grandfather then takes me for a walk.

We return back home to have bath and then nutritious breakfast by my mother.

I write all the lessons taught by my teachers. Yoonji too helps me in completing my notes. “Write this answer”.

I get back home in evening, I get fresh and sit for my lessons given by my teachers to complete at home.My mother teaches me at home.

“Very good!!”, she would appreciate me when I write an answer correctly or when I complete my notes. I then go out to play with my friends. They all love me for the joyous round of games we play together. It was 9:05 pm and I had just done with dinner when I got a video call from my friend Yoonji. “Did you eat?”, she asked me. “What were you doing?”, I could not reply to this question. “Tomorrow I will teach you the third problem in Math. Eomma taught me and it is easy”.

Still, no reply from my side, not because I don’t want to talk but because she does not give me a chance to speak up. “Now you go to sleep and don’t think of anything. We will meet at our place in the morning okay? Take care”, and she hung up.

She video calls me daily 3-4 times to make sure I am fine, to check out if I did eat. I smiled as i am so blessed to have a best friend like Yoonji.I would have found it difficult and nearly impossible to even survive if Yoonji was not there for me. I came back to reality from my fantasy world after Yoonji called me. God tests us with difficulties and loneliness before he trusts us with success.

I am an orphan since the time I remember that my family left me alone in a plane crash. I have been raised by my foster mother since then.

God does not give us everything we want, but He does fulfil our needs for living a godly life.I get more power on fighting it. I trust God and I spend more time indoors but I serve the other children at the orphanage, morning before school and evening after school.

I feel happy within and the children who depend on me boost my self-esteem and build my resilience. This is because I talk to them and share with them the amazing experience I have had with Yoonji and at school.

“Life goes on, one should look ahead and not backward”, I keep motivating all here. “Keep smiling, Life is a beautiful thing, providing much more to smile about than to be sad for a single thing”.
