It was almost dark but I was still strolling at the beach side. I wondered how life in sea will be peacefully living after dark. They need not be worried of getting caught by fishermen, need not bedisturbed by the water boats, no visitors.

Just then I saw a small girl running in small steps towards the water. I got worried and ran to her but she was already returning back towards the land. I stood there seeing her.

She bent down, took something in her small palms and again ran in tiny steps towards the water. 

“What are you doing?”, as I asked, she opened her palms and showed me tiny starfish.

“I am sending it back to it’s home”, she said and ran in tiny steps to drop the starfish in water.

“How many times will you do this?”, I tried stopping her. “They are in millions”, I continued.

I was trying to stop her as it is dangerous to go near water.

“As many as I can”, she said and ran in tiny steps towards water.

“Does it matter with saving one or two?”, I was concerned for the girl.

But “It will matter to this one”, she said and lift another starfish in her palms and ran towards the water, leaving me thinking why we get selfish in only to gain more and ignore the happiness in tiny deeds. We take care of only ourselves forgetting that others too are existing and need care too.

Love every kind, not just mankind.
