You don’t need a reason to help people

Once there lived an orphan on the roads of Sarjanpur named Raanu. He would collect scraps to earn a living and lived on rags.

One day while on his work he found that his worn-out shoe tore. He sat at a corner and tried to mend it himself.

Just then he saw a boy of almost his own age, with his father waiting for the train to arrive. The boy was wearing brand new shoes.

Raanu saw that the boy kept shining his shoes with wipes. He was not allowing even a small particle of dust to fall on the shoes he was wearing. Raanu smiled

The train for which the boy and his father were waiting arrived. The father carried their luggage and tried to catch the train. But the boy was still involved in shining his brand new shoes. His father got on the train making way through the bit crowd. When he got to their seat and settled down the luggage, he observed that his son has still not boarded the train

He was surprised by the way his son loved his new shoes. The father called out for his son to hurry up n get on the train, at least the train will start moving. Raanu was watching all this. He could feel a father’s love and concern towards his son. He never was so fortunate to get such affection. The train started moving. The father became worried n ran towards the door and cried out for his son. The boy hurried towards the door of the train to get into it.

But due to the crowd on the platform, it was not so easy for him to reach the door of the train compartment still he did his best but it all created tension for both father and son. In hurrying towards the compartment door, he flipped a bit n about to stumble. But he somehow balanced and could reach the door unhurt.

His father pulled him in through the train had not taken up speed It was a relief for both father and son to reunite after this tension but then the boy realized he had dropped one of his shoes on the platform while managing to get on the train raanu was watching all this. He immediately got up n ran towards the spot where the boy had dropped his shoe.

Raanu picked it up and took up speed running with the train so as to hand over the shoe to its owner. He could not reach so he threw it towards the boy gesturing him to catch it. But the boy could not catch it and the shoe fell down. The train had picked up speed and Raanu was left behind.

He could not catch up with the train speed and hence could not pick up the dropped shoe and hand it over to its owner. The boy was sad Raanu was helpless. He tried hard but in vain. Finally, he gave up on it and dropped them down

He immediately removed the other shoe and threw it towards Raanu, indicating to him that he can have the pair of shoes. Both the boy and his father were happy that the pair of shoes was not separated. They were also happy that the shoes could be worn by the boy who needs them the most. Proudly the boy’s father patted on the boy’s back. Feeling happy for his son’s prompt action.
