In a dense forest lived a young fox with a lot of his friends and cousins. He was popular among all the foxes as he was the most handsome fox in his group.
One day while strolling, the fox fell into a trap set by a hunter. As there was no one around, he had to help himself and after a struggle managed to get free, but with the
loss of his brushy tail.
He was then so much ashamed of his appearance that he thought, with such an ugly appearance life was not worth living unless he could persuade the other foxes to part with their tails also.
Thus he set out to gather all his friends and cousin and he planned to explain to them the new trend of appearance. He called a meeting of all the foxes and advised them to cut off their tails. “They’re ugly things anyhow,” he said, “and besides they’re heavy, and it’s tiresome to be always carrying them about with you.” said the fox to divert attention from his own loss.
But one of the other foxes said, “My dear friend, if you had not lost your own tail you wouldn’t be so keen on getting us to cut off ours.”
Moral of the story:You cannot change the whole world. You cannot just hope for happy ending.
Sometimes you have to accept the fact that certain things will never go back to how they used to be. You have the ability to change yourself. You have to stop being scared and go for it. Either it will work or it won’t. That is life.
