Once upon a time, in a poultry farm, there lived a little chicken. She was always inspired by the flight of other birds on the farm. She would tell her friends “When I grow up, I want to fly high in the sky”. But all the other chickens laughed at her, as they knew chickens cannot fly high.
Her mother would say, ” My Dear Child, we can flap our wings, but it’s very difficult for a chicken to fly”. But the little chicken would not give up.
Everyday she practiced by flapping her wings. She would flap her wings, but never lift off the ground. She would imagine herself flying high in sky along with pigeons and crows. One day, she flapped her wings and flew off the ground, but fell down. Everyday she did practice to fly. She ate light and regularly trained her wings to flap.
One day she climbed high on the branch of a tree. She stood at the edge of it and flapped her wings. She flew into the air. She flapped her wings harder and harder. She kept flying!
The wind beneath her wings grew stronger and she flew higher and higher. The crows and the sparrows were amazed by her flight. The other chicken also wanted to fly like her.
Moral of the story: You are stronger than you think. Never give up because great things take time.
