Once there lived a donkey named ‘Buddhuram’ with his other donkey friends, on an island. Whole day, they would eat, sleep, roam around here and there on the island.
Soon Buddhuram got bored of it and thought of going to some new place. All his friends asked him not to do so as it is not safe to go to a new place. But he didn’t pay any attention to their words.
He swam to another island. In a few days, he made new friends over there. But he was the only donkey there.
One day, a farmer saw him and caught him. He took the donkey to his house. For thousands of years, donkeys have been the ‘helping hooves’ of humankind and as the preferred mode of transport. Now the donkey had to work hard the whole day. The food the farmer gave him was not enough to eat as he was used to eating as much as he pleased and at anytime of the day.
One day, the donkey got an opportunity and fled from the farmer’s house. He went back to his old island and decided not to leave his friends again who had given him right advice.
Moral of the story:Never leave your friends.
Listen to what your friend tells you. A friend will give you advice, tell you the truth, the good or the bad. A world without friend would not be a world worth living.
