Jinn, Joon and Yeona were close friends studying in grade 6 at a popular school in their city.

They stayed nearby so they would go by the same commute to school. They would have their lunch together at school.

“Bring colours to school tomorrow”, Joon would remind Jinn and Yeona. “Get sprouts tomorrow for short break”,Yeona would always care for her friends’ health.

And you all will know in a while, on Jinn’s character of caring for his friends.

“I told you to get my work book right?”, Joon was upset and yelled at Yeona.

“I am sorry, I totally forgot”, Yeona apologized and offered Joon a piece of apple from her box. But Joon was not in a mood as he would lose few marks from his grades. “Miss had told it is last day to submit today. How could you forget!”,he angrily looked at Yeona.

And left the cafeteria leaving Yeona worried.

It was their yoga class next, so Yeona headed towards sports room alone leaving Jinn. “Hey!”, Jinn called out for both but none turned back.

After Yoga class, Jinn asked Yeona “Can you give me your Science book? I need to check if answers I have copied are correct !”. Without even looking towards him, Yeona handed her Science notes to Jinn.

“I need your Science book Joon. I must copy the answer to the last question. Will you ..?” Before he could complete his sentence, Joon handed Jinn his classwork book.

Later in evening, it was study time at home when Joon opened his Science class notes. “I am sorry Joonie. I hav submitted your Hindi work book to miss today. Let me buy you icecream after dinner. You can invite Jinn too”. He found a note in his book.

Yeona too smiled as she read a note in her Science book” ..a small treat from my side. You can invite Jinn too”.

After dinner, when Yeona reached the icecream parlor, she ran to Jinn and Joon as she saw them.

They happily had their favourite icecream and no one really even took up the topic of who apologised first.

We all know who really did! Jinn truly lit off the spark which would burn their friendship.

Some friendships are meant to be saved, we have spent a certain part of our lives with. A friendship which is fond and lasting.

One smile can start a friendship.
One word can end a fight.
One person can save our life relationships.
