This is not just a story but an emotion. An emotion of how a person can feel, on how a person can build, on how a person can make things happen. This story is inspired by a true incident for which I stood numb getting to know such an incident can truly happen.
There are three kinds of people in this world: people who make it happen, people who watch what happens, and people who wonder what happened. I was one of those, wondering what happened! I had no words coming out of my throat when I realised what happened.
I was arranging the answer sheets of students according to the student roll number. Each student has their folder. “Roll number 1..”, I picked up all subject answer sheets from the bundles of roll number 1, one by one. It was two test’s parent teacher meeting that week end. I had got the consolidated marks sheet which I had to still enter in the student’s marks card(report card). While arranging the paper bundles according to subject for each student, I was cross-checking if the marks entered was same as the marks obtained by the student.
“Luckily all is well”, as I thought, “there is no more delay due to mis-entry”. I assured myself. But to my shock, one brilliant student’s marks was entered wrong.
“Here it is!”, I said sarcastically.
“She scored 30 but it is entered 13 in the consolidated sheet”, I rewrote 30 over 13 there. “I must get it updated in the software as well”, as I thought “.. later “, I continued.
This was for roll number 6. I collected her test sheets one after another and pineed them up together to a set. I kept the set in the student’s folder. I started to check her another test’s answer sheets. To my surprise her entry was blank in the first column of the consolidated sheet and also her English answer sheet was not yet been corrected!!
I immediately text to her English teacher
