The Runaway Boy (Part 1)
Joon was upset today. He did not come down for his morning milk nor for breakfast. His clothes were packed already. He had his notebooks in a carton. His basic things needed, an extra pair of shoes, fruits, some eatables all were been packed. This is what he did not wanted. He tried convincing his parents several times but in vain. His parents were determined to send him to boarding school.
The school was 20 kilometers away from his home. He never understood if it was that far that he has to stay at hostel and not to travel.
“Come down now Jooine”, his mother called him down for the hundredth time.
“I will not stay there even if I go”, Joon was determined. He had the whole plan maeked in his tiny mind.
Joon was a 13 year old, studying at grade 7. He had a loving family with his middle-aged parents, an elder sister who had just completed her grade 12 and a mischievous pet dog Mon.
Joon set out with his parents towards his school. He did not even turn back to see her waving sister, desperate pet. He missed them already.
The car journey looked like million years to Joon.
“It’s such a lovely weather today”, Joon’s mother turned to the back seat to see Joon, who was looking out of the rear window of the car.
“Right Joon?”, she said with a smile. Joon did not even move a bit, did not reply to his mother, not even moved a bit. He sat there as a frozen boy.
